Blog Discussion Guidelines

Directselling411.com welcomes your active participation in blog comment threads. Readers are also encouraged to pose questions and request comment on specific topics.

While the blog is moderated, comments are monitored only to ensure the rules of the blog are maintained. In order to keep these experiences enjoyable, interesting and informative for all of our readers, please follow the rules outlined below.

By participating in the directselling411.com blog you agree to the following:

1. The purpose of this web site and blog is to explore topics related to direct selling, a method of product and service distribution. Please make sure your comments and questions relate to direct selling and are relevant to the post topic on which you are commenting. Comments must further the discussion of direct selling and may not focus solely on the policies and procedures of any specific company. Posts deemed to violate this rule will not be posted.
2. You agree that you are fully responsible for the content that you post. Do not knowingly post content that violates the copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property right of any third party. Likewise, you may not post content that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, that violates a third party’s right to privacy, that otherwise violates any applicable local, state, national or international law, or that is otherwise inappropriate. You may not post content that degrades others on the basis of gender, race, class, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual preference, disability or other classification. Epithets and other language intended to intimidate or to incite violence will not be tolerated. Furthermore, you may not impersonate others.
3. The discussion forums are for text only. Use of graphics and audio is not appropriate.
4. You acknowledge and agree that you use and/or rely on any information obtained through the Web site or blog at your own risk. This site is designed to explore direct selling from a variety of viewpoints. Information posted by third parties in the blog comment section should be consumed with caution.
5. No solicitations or advertisements are allowed. This includes advertisements for your business, your own online endeavors or any specific company.
6. You may link to other informational Web sites when relevant to the discussion, but links to commercial sites are generally not allowed. We may make exceptions when the sites in question are directly pertinent to coverage of the topic in question.
7. You may not suggest or encourage illegal activity.
8. You must respect the privacy of individuals. This means no posting of phone numbers, addresses or any other private information. We discourage users from posting such information even about themselves, as we cannot control how that information may be used beyond our blogs.
9. Good manners online means not posting the same comment more than once. The online word for posting many times on one topic is “spamming.” We don’t allow it.

Please keep these rules in mind as you use our blogs. Thanks for being part of the discussion.
